Plaid Bed-in-a-Bag Comforter Set
A plaid bed in a bag, cut in six sizes up to California King
10 of 10 variants in stock · prices change often, the retailer’s page is authoritative
- 6sizes cut
- 10colourways
- 9.19 lblisted weight
This is the second bed-in-a-bag in the range and the one with the longer size table: six cuts from Twin through to California King. The fill is 240gsm down alternative, which is the weight that gets called all-season because it is warm enough on its own in a heated room and takes a blanket over the top when it is not. Ten plaids, and a plaid is the one pattern that survives being the largest object in a room.
What it is for
The piece list the listing itemises is for the Twin and Twin XL cut: comforter, flat sheet, fitted sheet with a fourteen-inch elastic pocket, one pillowcase and one sham. The last feature point on the same listing calls it a seven-piece set, which contradicts the five it has just counted — trust the itemised list, not the heading. The comforter is box-stitched rather than channel-stitched, so the fill cannot migrate to the edges, and the pillowcases close by envelope rather than zip. It ships vacuum-packed at a little over nine pounds for the Queen; a few hours of air, or twenty minutes in a dryer on low, is what brings it back to loft. Rank eighty-three in comforter sets.
Best for: a whole bed made up in one order, in a pattern rather than a plain colour. It is one of only two sets on this shelf cut for a California King, which is the reason to choose it over the seven-piece bag.
What the maker claims
Feature points as Love’s cabin publishes them on the listing. Points that name the retailer are dropped and an all-capital lead-in is cut where there is one; the wording is otherwise theirs, not ours.
- Easy to Care – Machine Washable: Machine wash in the gentle cycle with cold water. Sun-dry or tumble dry on low heat. Do not bleach. Do not iron. Tips: Our comforter set is vacuum packaged—it will fluff up nicely after airing it for a few hours or putting it in the dryer on low for 15–20 minutes.
The sizes it is cut in
6 sizes on the listing, which is what makes 32 size-and-colour combinations out of 10 colourways. Ordered smallest first rather than in listing order.

The measurement beside each name is the manufacturer’s for that cut. Where the listing also gives one overall weight, it is quoting a single variant and not the whole family.

What the score is measuring
Five hundred and forty-five ratings at 4.4 is a mid-sized sample and a slightly lower score than the older bed-in-a-bag on this shelf, which is the pattern you would expect: a set that arrives compressed collects its complaints in the first week, before the comforter has finished expanding. The rating says nothing about which of the ten plaids is in the photograph you liked, and the colourways are printed differently enough that it is worth looking at each one.
The score and the count are the retailer’s public totals as of our last catalogue check and both move; the shelf position is counted from the 12 products we carry in Comforters & Duvets, not from the retailer’s ranking.
Common questions
How many pieces are actually in the bag?
Five, as the listing itemises them: comforter, flat sheet, fitted sheet, pillowcase and sham. One feature point says seven, which does not match its own list — plan for five and treat a second sham as a bonus if one arrives.
Is it warm enough for winter?
On its own, in a heated bedroom, yes: 240gsm of down alternative is a true all-season weight. In a cold room it is a base layer, and the manufacturer says the same thing — add a blanket rather than buy a heavier comforter.
Why does it look thin when it arrives?
It is vacuum-packed to ship. Give it a few hours spread out on the bed, or twenty minutes in a dryer on low heat, and it reaches its proper thickness. Judging it straight out of the bag judges the packaging.
How it compares on its own shelf
The most-rated 5 of the 12 products we carry in Comforters & Duvets, with the figures beside each other. The row you are reading is in the table: a comparison that leaves out its own subject is a recommendation strip wearing a table for a costume.
