Flannel is the one sheet fabric bought purely for warmth, and the number that decides how warm is the weight. This set runs 220 GSM and is brushed on both sides rather than one, which is why the bed feels warm the moment you get into it instead of ten minutes later. It is polyester flannel, not cotton, and that trade is deliberate: polyester keeps its nap through more washes and does not shrink away from the mattress corners.

Twenty-four ratings at 4.4 reads like a fair early sample for a seasonal product: high enough to suggest the nap and the fit are as described, low enough and spread enough that somebody has probably found the thing flannel always gets complaints about, which is lint on the first wash. Wash it alone the first time and most of that disappears.

Will it fit a deep mattress?
Up to fifteen inches, which covers most beds including a pillow-top with a thin topper. Measure from the seam at the bottom to the top of the mattress with everything on it, because mattress names say nothing useful about depth.
Is this cotton flannel?
No, polyester flannel. Cotton flannel breathes better and pills faster; polyester holds its brushed nap longer and will not shrink. On a winter set the second set of qualities is usually the one people want.
Does it shed lint?
All brushed flannel does for the first wash or two, then stops. Wash the set on its own the first time, clean the dryer filter afterwards, and that is the end of it.
