Almost everything else in this range is polyester or cotton. This one is 86 per cent nylon and 14 per cent spandex on its cooling face, which is closer to athletic fabric than to bedding, and the choice is deliberate: nylon moves moisture along the fibre instead of holding it, and the spandex keeps the surface smooth against skin. If you wake up damp rather than merely warm, that is the distinction that matters — a cooling gel or a thin fill deals with temperature, a wicking fabric deals with the water.

What it is for

Double-sided is the useful part: the cooling face for summer, the ordinary face for the rest of the year, so it is not a comforter you have to store for eight months. Five pounds in Queen. Two sizes only, Queen 90x90 and King 108x90, and three colourways — blue, grey, white. It is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 tested, and the manufacturer states the cooling performance survives machine washing, which is a claim worth watching, because coatings that deliver cooling by chemistry rather than by fibre generally do not.

Best for: night sweats, hot sleepers and bedrooms with air conditioning. Not for anyone who wants a heavy winter duvet — five pounds across a King is a light comforter.

What the maker claims

Feature points as Love’s cabin publishes them on the listing. Points that name the retailer are dropped and an all-capital lead-in is cut where there is one; the wording is otherwise theirs, not ours.

  • Ultra-Fast Moisture Wicking: Say goodbye to night sweats. Our premium blend of 86% cooling nylon and 14% spandex is engineered for superior moisture management, dispersing sweat in 2 seconds (2x faster than regular fabric) to keep you dry all night.
  • Ultra-Smooth Comfort for Sensitive Skin: High-density cooling nylon provides a luxurious, silky-smooth cloud-like fluffiness that is gentle on sensitive skin and is OEKO-TEX certified, meaning no harsh chemicals, no irritation, just pure, soothing comfort all night long.
  • Long-Lasting & Optimized for AC Comfort: Our cooling blanket retains its cooling performance and silky softness after machine washing. Simply wash on gentle cycle and tumble dry low - no special care needed. Designed for daily use in AC-optimized rooms at 73-77°F (23-25°C) and built to last for years.

The sizes it is cut in

2 sizes on the listing, which is what makes 6 size-and-colour combinations out of 3 colourways. Ordered smallest first rather than in listing order.

  • Queen90" × 90"
  • King108" × 90"

The measurement beside each name is the manufacturer’s for that cut. Where the listing also gives one overall weight, it is quoting a single variant and not the whole family.

What the score is measuring

About a hundred ratings at 4.6 — early days, but a promising early number for a cooling product, where the category norm is a first-night wow followed by a shrug in week three. The honest caveat is that cooling is comparative: this fabric moves heat away faster than polyester does, which is not the same as feeling cold, and a review sample this small has not yet been through a second summer.

Common questions

Which side is the cooling side?

The smoother, slightly slick face — you can tell by hand within a second or two. The other side is a conventional soft finish, so the same comforter covers summer and winter by being turned over.

Does the cooling wear off?

The effect here comes from the fibre blend rather than from a surface treatment, so it should not wash out the way a coated finish does. Wash it gently and tumble dry low anyway; spandex is the component that heat degrades.

Is there a Twin size?

No — Queen and King only. For a single bed that needs cooling, a four-layer muslin blanket or the bamboo viscose sheet set covers the same problem from a different direction.
