Satin Pillowcase Pair
Six dollars a pair, and the cheapest sensible thing you can do for your hair
12 of 12 variants in stock · prices change often, the retailer’s page is authoritative
- 3sizes cut
- 12colourways
- 7 ozlisted weight
This is the smallest, cheapest item in the whole catalogue and arguably the one with the best ratio of benefit to price. Everything the hairdressing profession says about satin pillowcases comes down to one mechanism: cotton drags on hair and skin as you turn over, satin does not. Less friction means less breakage, fewer tangles and less of the creasing that cotton presses into a face over seven hours. Twelve colourways — more than anything else here — and the pair costs less than a sandwich.
What it is for
Three sizes, which is unusual for a pillowcase and worth using properly: Queen at 20x30, King at 20x36, and a body case at 20x54 inches for a full-length pillow. Machine washable, quick drying, and it keeps its sheen without the special handling silk demands — which is the whole argument for satin over the real thing at twenty times the price. Rank fifty-six in pillowcases. The colour list runs from the expected white, black and grey out to teal, burlwood and light purple, so matching an existing bedding set is realistic rather than approximate.
Best for: curly and fine hair, a blow-dry you want to survive the night, and skin that creases. Also the cheapest possible upgrade to a bed you are not otherwise changing.
What the maker claims
Feature points as Love’s cabin publishes them on the listing. Points that name the retailer are dropped and an all-capital lead-in is cut where there is one; the wording is otherwise theirs, not ours.
- Skin Benefits: satin pillowcases offer a smooth, frictionless surface that helps reduce skin irritation and the formation of sleep lines, leading to fewer wrinkles over time. This ensures your skin stays soft and youthful.
- Hair Protection: The silky texture of satin pillowcases minimizes hair breakage, tangling, and frizz by reducing friction. This keeps your hair smooth and healthy, reducing the occurrence of split ends and maintaining your hairstyle overnight.
- Temperature Regulation: These silky pillowcases offer excellent breathability and moisture-wicking properties, helping to regulate your body temperature, keeping you cool in the summer and warm in the winter, ensuring a comfortable sleep environment year-round.
- Easy to Care For: Satin pillowcases are much easier to maintain compared to silk. They are machine washable and quick-drying, retaining their softness and sheen without requiring special care or expensive dry cleaning.
The sizes it is cut in
3 sizes on the listing, which is what makes 21 size-and-colour combinations out of 12 colourways. Ordered smallest first rather than in listing order.
- Queen20" × 30"
- King20" × 36"
- Body20" × 54"
The measurement beside each name is the manufacturer’s for that cut. Where the listing also gives one overall weight, it is quoting a single variant and not the whole family.

What the score is measuring
No public rating on this family yet, and we are not going to invent one — the only figure available is a category rank of fifty-six in pillowcases, and rank measures units moved, not whether anyone was pleased. The mechanism at least is not in dispute: reduced friction against hair is a physical property of the weave, and it does not depend on this particular listing being good.
The score and the count are the retailer’s public totals as of our last catalogue check and both move; the shelf position is counted from the 5 products we carry in Sheets & Pillowcases, not from the retailer’s ranking.
Common questions
Is satin as good as silk for hair?
For friction, which is the part that matters to hair, close enough that the difference is hard to detect. Silk additionally absorbs less moisture, so it is marginally better for a scalp treatment; at thirty times the price, that is a small return.
Which size do I need?
Measure the pillow, not the bed. A standard or Queen pillow takes the 20x30 case, a King pillow takes 20x36, and the 20x54 body case fits a full-length body pillow — which is otherwise very hard to find in satin.
Does the shine wash away?
The sheen comes from the weave structure, so it survives washing; what dulls it is heat and bleach. Cold wash, low or no heat in the dryer, and a pair will keep its finish for years.
